Your duties

You will be working with a team of highly motivated and self-reliant developers with state-of-the-art technology to develop leading semiconductor test equipment. As one of the world's leaders in test and measurement, Advantest works with technical visionaries right at the forefront of the world's most exciting, emerging markets. General secretarial duties for the Böblingen R&D lab, supporting managers and engineers. Specific duties include:

 

  • Support an R&D team creating customer specific solution prototypes
  • “Translate” project material needs into executable orders incl. supplier selection and supplier setup
  • Placing requisition and purchase orders (PO) for R&D material and equipment
  • Communication with suppliers regarding the open PO's
  • Preparation of shipping papers for outgoing shipments
  • Ordering of office supplies
  • Organization of international travels
  • Preparation and application for visas
  • Support of visiting international employees
  • Preparation of regular reports
  • Generation of presentation materials, documents, etc.
  • Standard administration tasks
  • Co-operation with other assistants and R&D colleagues

 

 

The role is a full-time (40 h/w) position. Working from home is possible on some days, but the majority of the time should be spent in the office directly supporting the R&D team. You will be working in a team of other assistants, so you need to be a good team player, but you will also benefit from mutual assistance and support.

Your profile

  • Office related Vocational Training (Berufsausbildung)
  • Good written and spoken German and English
  • Experience using the MS Office tools
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good planning skills
  • Must be able to work on own initiative and to cope with an "interrupt-driven" atmosphere
  • Be able to prioritize, multi-task and organize
  • Likes to communicate with all levels of personnel and can adapt to multi-cultural situations
  • Must feel comfortable within a team
