The Program Manager for Research and Venture will be responsible for program management and related processes to ramp up our research projects successfully.
He/she will work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of members from operations, field services, spare parts, R&D, product marketing, sales and more.
In this role, the Program Manager will establish and maintain a program plan and structure supported by KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and targets at the executive management level.
The Program Manager will ensure that all stakeholders receive timely and detailed communication. They will work with the various teams to resolve issues that hinder achievement of the related KPIs.
The Program Manager negotiates scope and timelines with technical dependencies that must make adjustments to support the ramp at this strategic customer. They must be a continual learner in technologies and processes, striving to discover new approaches to solving complex problems.
The Program Manager for strategic customer reports directly to the Business Management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Scoping: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with product management, product marketing, and other stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment. Facilitate effective communication and information flow between all project participants.
- Execution & Monitoring: Oversee the execution of project plans, tracking progress against milestones and deliverables. Proactively identify and resolve issues, mitigate risks, and manage dependencies to ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including senior leadership, engineering, sales, marketing, and external partners. Provide regular project updates and facilitate decision-making.
- Communication & Reporting: Develop and deliver clear, concise, and timely project status reports, presentations, and documentation to various audiences.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize project management methodologies and processes within the Product Marketing and Product Management organization, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resource Management: Work with functional managers to secure and allocate necessary resources for project execution.
- Budget Management (as applicable): Monitor project budgets and ensure expenditures are within approved limits.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact.
- Product Launch Support: Coordinate and manage activities related to product launches, ensuring all necessary marketing materials, sales tools, and training are in place.
