- As a part of the Hardware Development team you develop innovative cooling and wiring designs
- Develop, simulate, and evaluate board-level cooling components such as heatsinks, heatpipes, and thermal interface materials to boost the performance of high-power instruments
- Perform heat transfer simulations for complex electrical components and PCBs
- Design, simulate, and assess high-density wiring systems capable of handling high currents or high voltages
- Build and test lab prototypes, including conducting detailed characterization measurements
- Work closely with contract manufacturers and supply chain on rollout and support

- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of electronic and mechanical design and simulation
- Basic experience with thermal simulation tools
- Experience in CAD design software, preferably with parametric design tools such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX
- Practical experience in heatsink or cable development as well as manufacturing support
- Business fluent German and fluent English communication skills
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for working collaboratively in a team
