Senior Software R&D Engineer (m/f/d)

In this position you will be part of the research and development team of Advantest's Premium SOC Test Solution - the V93000 IC Test platform. You will work in a cross-functional team consisting of Hardware- and Software-R&D, product marketing, solution architects and customer support. As a Senior Software R&D Engineer (m/f/d) you will work on the development of new features for ATE tester extension cards.

• Developing software in C++ on high performance Linux Systems
• Development of new features for the IC Tester extension cards
• Analyzing complex problems to propose and implement new solutions to leading edge technology problems
• Close collaboration with solution architects and customer experts
• Working with state of the art tools, development environments and realize new functionality in high quality

• Completed studies in the field of computer science or similar area of studies
• Strong programming skills in C++
• Good Linux / Unix knowledge
• Experience with Eclipse working environment
• Basic understanding of ICs / electronic measurement technology specifically in the area of ATE
• Basic knowledge on software versioning tools (e.g. Git)
• You have excellent problem-solving skills, proactively seek out new challenges, bring projects to completion independently, and interact with various stakeholders in the process
• You have an agile mindset and are interested in taking responsibility
• You are innovative, creative and like to think outside the box
• You like to work in a global team, but at the same time, you have a high level of personal responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:

• You speak fluent English - fluency in German is a plus for us
• Experience with embedded SW development is a plus

• Experience in the Semiconductor / ATE industry is a plus

• Experience with EDA tools (e.g. Siemens/Mentor, Cadence, Synopsys) is a plus
