Senior Linux Engineer (m/f/d)

Be part of the team that provides a state-of-the-art infrastructure and development environment for product generation within Advantest.

As Linux System Engineer you will help to make R&D successful by providing a development environment based on RHEL, virtualization technology and modern configuration management tools.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and experienced Linux system engineer (m/f).

Your assignment

• Provide a Linux-based infrastructure where product generation can work effectively
• Support agile way of work within R&D
• Automate our installation and SW deployment
• Adapt and continuously improve our environment

Your profile

• University or college degree in computer science/engineering, software engineering or comparable qualification
• Working knowledge with
  Linux environment,
  Virtualization (KVM, qemu) and container technology (Docker, podman)
• Knowledge in the automation of installations (Kickstart),
  RPM package management, network setups
• Good script programming skills (e.g. Python, Ruby)
• Experiences with automatization of deployment processes, configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and monitoring tools (Nagios, Check_MK) are preferred
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently, analytical and conceptual skills, team player

The following topics would be a plus

• Certification as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE®) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA®); or comparable skills
• Ideally experiences with agile development processes (e.g. Scrum, DevOps, Continuous Integration) and tools (Jenkins, Jira)
